Recruiting Prep Camps

Saguaro Recruit College-level Prep Camps involve skill development, structured evaluation, and direct exposure to our Recruiting Specialist. These camps are for those players seeking a college volleyball career. Camps are open to the public; club and school commitments are not a problem.

How Recruiting Prep Camps Work

These college-level prep camps are designed for two main purposes:

  1. Skill development — position‑specific drills, college‑style rotations, and feedback from our Recruiting Specialist.
  2. Recruiting exposure — opportunities to be evaluated by Saguaros coaches, network, and gather feedback.

These camps go beyond “visibility” to provide structured evaluation, usable feedback, and context within the recruiting process.

What we do

  • As a college-level instructional camp, we focus on technical improvement and college-level feedback.
  • ID/evaluations – we tell you the truth about possible college opportunites based on position‑specific drills with structured feedback.
  • Combine Style Events – each camp takes you into the world of college recruiting with high-level drills. College rotations and gameplay for honest evaluations.
  • Camps are for experienced players – competitive environment with a recruiting mindset.

Preparation Before Attending

Things to do before you attend.

  • Physical readiness – conditioning, injury prevention, and nutrition planning.
  • Mental prep – set goals, expect standards of excellence, and prepare to be uncomfortable.
  • Equipment – bring required gear and any personal training aids.
  • Recruiting profile – create a Saguaro Recruit profile.

What to Expect On‑Court

  • Skill assessments – drills, position‑specific work, and scrimmage situations.
  • Coach interaction – ask questions, network, and observe team culture.
  • Feedback – structured, actionable notes on performance and readiness.

Maximizing the Experience

  • Follow up – send thank‑you notes, share results, and connect with coaches.
  • Balance effort and recovery – avoid burnout and maintain focus.
  • Demonstrate sportsmanship – coaches note character and teamwork.

Tip: Treat camps as one part of a longer recruiting plan — focus on skill growth, feedback, and relationship‑building, not just “getting noticed.”
