Sponsorship Guide

If you’re looking to reduce your overall club fees and/or get sponsored by local businesses, the chances are that you’ll be interested in knowing how to secure a sports-related sponsorship.

Having a sponsor can hold a number of benefits, including the ability to help the players raise essential funds to go towards your overall club fees in return for some advertisement on our club page and social media!

However, it’s not always clear what the best way of approaching potential sponsors is, as well as how a sponsor would expect you to advertise their offerings once you’re successful in securing one. If you haven’t handled something like this before, it can be a challenging and time-consuming task.

To help ease the pressure and speed up the process, we’ve created this guide to help attract sponsorships!

What are sponsorships?

A sponsorship is a mutually beneficial partnership between a business or organization and Saguaros Volleyball! The sponsor provides financial support to the club, player or team in exchange for recognition and promotion of their brand. All sponsors will have their brand promoted on all our social media platforms with shoutout flyers and direct links to their brands. To answer the question of whether a parent can be a sponsor of their own daughter’s club journey, the answer is no.

How do I get a sponsorship?

A sponsorship is generally a good thing for both sides. To get a sports sponsorship, you’ll need to talk to the company. And reaching out to their general customer service/management division is a great place to start. But you’ll still have to dig a little deeper. Check their website for information. Look for contact information for their sponsorship, marketing, and public relations departments.

If you can’t find it online, reach out to their customer service team. If you’re approaching a small local business for help, go directly to the manager and business owner! They’re the ones who will make the decisions, and they’re the ones you need to present your case to.

Payments and Logos coming from a Sponsor?

Please make sure all checks are made out to the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club. We also accept Zelle and Venmo payments. Please send any business or company logos to be displayed to our club email in PNG or JPEG formats.

Here is a step-by-step format that you can follow to get you started.
