Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club Contract Agreement Confidential & Private

Contract Agreement
The Contract Agreement (the “Agreement”) is entered into as of, 2025-26, and
terminating with the close of the Junior National Tournament in July 2026, between
,(the “Contactor”) and Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club, an Arizona
corporation. During the contract period, coaches’ direct reporting will be to club directors.

AGREEMENTS
In consideration of the mutual covenants in the Agreement and other good and valuable considerations, the receipt and sufficiency of which are acknowledged, the Club and the Contractor agree as follows.

  1. Terms of Employment (a) the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club and the Contractor agree that their contractual relationship shall be for the 2025-2026 Junior Olympic Girls Club Volleyball season. The relationship shall be terminable at any time by the Contractor or by the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club with or without cause, but with fourteen (14) days’ written notice. If the club ceases to exist or teams cannot be signed, this contract shall become null and void seven days after written notification. The contractor further agrees to abide by all the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club guidelines as established by the club directors, including but not limited to the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club Coach’s Code of Conduct, as well as all established USAV, AAU, and JVA Volleyball rules and guidelines.
  2. Compensation.
    (a) Payment for services during the contract period, the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club shall pay the Contractor $__________________ per club season, payable in monthly installments of $__________________ on the last day of the month beginning November 30, 2025. This agreement shall cover coaching one team. In the event the Contractor coaches additional teams, payment for the additional teams will be approved and added with an Addendum to this contract.
    (b) Withholding. All compensation payable to Contractor under their Agreement is stated in gross amount. No federal income taxes will be withheld from earnings and Contractor acknowledges he/she is solely responsible for all tax payments to local or federal governments. The Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club will issue 1099 in accordance with federal law at the close of each calendar year.

    Duties.
    (a) During the Employment period, Contractor shall perform the duties of Head Coach/ Asst Coach, as well as such other duties and functions as the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club may prescribe from time to time.
    (b) The Contractor shall devote the time required to fulfill the assigned practice times per week and be on time to each scheduled practice or face their salary being docked.
    Additionally, time commitment for all tournaments and travel as required by the agreed-upon tournament schedule.
    (c) The Contractor agrees to meet with club directors periodically to review club policy or procedures. Additionally, the contractor agrees to keep the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club directors informed of any issues that are beyond the coaching scope.
  3. Parent Coach.
    A Parent/Coach shall be held to the same standards as any other coach/staff at the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club. In the case that a Parent/Coach is trading their time and skills for a tuition break, the Parent/Coach is still responsible for the following financial obligations.
    A. Club upfront fee in November
    B. Uniform fee in November
  4. Confidentiality.
    The Contractor agrees that his/her work for the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club will bring him/her into close contact with members of the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club and with many confidential affairs of the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club not readily available to the public. To protect the confidential or proprietary information of the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club, its members, and third parties with which the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club has entered into agreements, and due to the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club granting Contractor access to such confidential or proprietary information, the Contractor agrees as follows:

    (a) Contractor agrees that she will not at any time during his/her assignment or after his/her assignment with the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club directly or indirectly, disclose to any person, firm, corporation, partnership, or other entity whatsoever (except the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club), or use, modify or adapt any confidential or proprietary information of the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club or its members to which he/she has access, or which comes into her knowledge or possession during the term of his/her employment by the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club. Such
    information includes information not generally known to the public and proprietary to the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club and information which the Contractor has a reasonable basis to believe is confidential or proprietary information or which the Contractor has a reasonable basis to believe the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club treats as confidential or proprietary information.
  5. Entire Agreement.
    The Agreement embodies the entire understanding between the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club and the Contractor and supersedes all prior understandings and discussions. It may not be changed orally, but only by an amendment in writing signed by the party against whom/which enforcement of any waiver, change, modification, extension, or discharge is sought.
  6. Governing Law.
    The Agreement shall be construed under and governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States of America.
  7. Binding Effect; Non-Assignment.
    The Agreement and the rights and obligations of the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club hereunder shall inure to the benefit of and shall be binding upon the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club and any companies or other entities controlling, controlled by, or under common control with the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club and upon successors and assigns of any such the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club. Neither the Agreement nor any of the Contractor’s rights or obligations hereunder shall be transferable or assignable by the Contractor or any person claiming any such benefit through him/her, but they shall inure to the benefit of and shall be binding upon her executors,
    administrators, personal representatives, heirs, and legatees. As a volleyball coach/staff for the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club, you’ll be called upon to do the following:
  • Provide a safe physical environment:
    Playing volleyball holds inherent risk, but as a coach, you’re responsible for regularly inspecting the practice and competition courts.
  • Communicate positively:
    Your communication involves not only players but also parents and volleyball
    referees. Communicate positively and show that you have the best interests of the players at heart.
  • Teach the tactics and skills of volleyball:
    Making practices game-like is especially important for youth volleyball.
  • Teach the rules of volleyball:
    It’s important for players to understand volleyball rules. Understanding the rules makes playing the game much easier. You’ll also have an advantage over your opponent if you know what they don’t. Not knowing the rules can cost your team points.
  • Direct players in competition:
    This includes determining starting line-ups and a substitution plan. Also, making tactical decisions during the game and communicating with opposing coaches and players.
  • Help your players become fit to play volleyball:
    You want your players to develop the right conditioning for volleyball so they can play the game safely and successfully. Players should also understand the value of fitness and enjoy conditioning for volleyball. Avoid punishing players by making them do pushups or run. Make exercise fun, and they’ll enjoy getting in shape for volleyball.
  • Help young people develop character:
    Character development includes learning caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. It’s best to teach these values to players and demonstrate and encourage behaviors that always express these values.

    Coaches’ Benefits:
    Monthly Salary Yes
    Travel Expenses Yes
    Per Diem: at $75 to $100 USD Per Day
    Coach Rooms: Two coaches per room, or coach can secure their own room at their own expense, plus a per diem.
    Flights: At the discretion of the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club Directors
    Gear: Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club Backpack, Shirts, Sweatshirts, Polos.

    Written Addenda:
    IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Arizona Saguaros Volleyball Club has caused the Agreement to be executed by its duly authorized officer, and the Contractor has hereunto set his/her hand, all as of the day and year first above written.
